NEW EXHIBITIONS THIS SPRING FOR GANGHUT!

Hold on to your bunnets, its time to bang the GANGHUT gong at the spiritual home again!  BONG!

GANGHUT are delighted to inform you of the forthcoming event at the GANGHUT Project Space located at SSW, Lumsden. GANGHUT have invited Kowboj International (formally The Blue Cowboys) to develop and present a weekend of cultural bewilderment and seismic shifting in and around the ‘HUT.

Formed in Newcastle in 1993…“Kowboj International is an artist collective,  an electro punk band, a motorcycle gang, an outdoor swimming club, a climbing club, a Table Squennis team, a sponsor of x-box multiplayer online motorsport, a political party, and environmental lobby group, a drinking club.

Our vision is informed by a shared belief that existence without art is existence without meaning.

Therefore our collective mission is to always be questioning the nature of being an artist, which we do by working together to dream up new ways of sharing our work and ideas with others often whilst extremely drunk.”

With Olid Nordhausen already encamped and installing in the Wee G on site, GANGHUT awaits the further arrival of Lubo Deering, Coco Hocake,  Piast Kolodiez, Jex Nipny and Harlan Tressel to swell the Kowboj’s numbers, dry their powder and prepare for the main event on Sat 28th March. Have an early night on the Friday and get to the GANGHUT by luncheon on Saturday with your wit and reflex pencil sharpener in the side pocket of your Gore-Tex – we suggest bananas for breakfast as the potassium will help with the full and varied program of events,  advice,  travelling and performance.

GANGHUT will be on hand to help, warm and nourish you throughout the day.

GANGHUT HAD A GOOD WEEK LAST WEEK WITH THE STUDENTS FROM SCULPTURE AT EDINBURGH COLLEGE OF ART... AFTER A TALK AND SOME DISCUSSION A SMALL TEAM WAS PUT TOGETHER NATURALLY AND WORK WAS MADE TOWARDS A WEE EVENT AT THE END OF THE WEEK....ON THURSDAY THE 19TH FEB 2009 , THE  'CREDIT CRUNCH BUNCH' INVITED ALL TO THE OPENING OF NEWLY MADE SCUPLTURE, TEXT, IMAGE AND INSTALLATION WITHIN THE ECA BUILDING.
WELL DONE TO ALL AND GANGHUT SALUTES YOU!!! WE GOT YOUR BACK!!
